Fashion bloggers these days seem to be getting less and less real. They originally started out posting happy go lucky life pics of the clothes they were rocking to work, or on the weekend enjoying a fun day with their friends, having a good laugh not taking life all that seriously. They documented visually their adventures, their everyday lives focusing on capturing just a random moment. I think it was this real life essence that initially got me hooked. I started following all the fashion bloggers that I have come to now follow religiously. I embraced their randomness and found their style or snap to be a refreshing take on the stuffy Vogue fashion shoots that were meticulously pre-ordained in a way that was anything but real, more of a dream. These stuffy essences had plagued the fashion industry for years. Suddenly their was a good sense of humor and frivolity that the fashion bloggers bought to the serious fashion world.
But lately (the super popular fashion bloggers at least) seem to be getting less and less real and out of touch with what made them super popular in the first place. Traveling to far and exotic locations just to get that ‘it’ shot. I for one miss seeing those candid everyday moments, an effortless look in their home town or clothes that we can all afford, or even a clumsy but well put together outfit that I wouldn’t have come up with on my own. Not an outfit that’s an assembly line of hours of co-ordination, a shot that has been photoshopped or taken by a Vogue freelance fashion photographer or clothes that just break the bank, let’s face we all just can’t afford designer clothes and freelance photographers.
So this got me thinking, wouldn’t it be funny and somewhat reinvigorating to see the mishaps the real authentic moments that some Fashion Bloggers have been brave enough to post in the past few weeks! It took me quite a while, lots of scrolling, but this is what I found below, enjoy!
