Cafe Habana is a Nolitian institution situated in the heart of Nolita on the corner of Prince and Elizabeth Streets. Its a hip, happening, trendy Cuban/Mexican cafe serving fresh and authentic traditional cuisine. Great for celebrity spotting, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Alba have been spotted dining there several times in the past.
In the summertime for sure you can expect a line, brunch is what Cafe Habana does best. Owner Sean Meenan has nailed the low cost authentic brunch, served in a laid back, no rush kinda pace.
Food tip: the grilled corn on the cob is the best. I’d also recommend taking a seat at the bar, you can dine alone, it’s fun people watching. Sitting outside in the summertime is also super fun and a great way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon.
