Amarcord in Italian means ‘I remember’ in an old Italian dialect from the region of Romagna. Italian born store owner Patti Bordoni frequents Italy sourcing stunning immaculate off the runway Italian designer vintage clothes, shoes and handbags: Missoni, Dolce & Gabanna, Gucci and Salvatore Ferragamo’s. Amarcord is definitely on the higher priced side of vintage shopping, but well worth it if your looking for vintage designer clothes in mint condition. Originally Patti started Amarcord Vintage in the East Village in 2000, but moved into Nolita on Lafayette Street in 2006 to make this her flagship store.
Amarcord has an archive of more than 50,000 unique pieces from around the globe, the space features items from every style and era starting from the Victorian period up to the early 2000’s, so here’s a tip don’t be shy to ask if your looking for something quite particular, chances are she may have it!
