Laduree the French luxury bakery made famous for their decant double decker macarons, which they sell wait for this…. 51,000 day, has finally finished it’s extensive renovations in their Soho store at 396 West Broadway and will open it’s doors for business officially tomorrow February 5th 2014.
The macarons will still be flown in from Paris daily…. so cool…. we can rest assure ladies these macarons will be truly authentic. I was lucky enough to take a quick sneak peek of their beautiful store this morning, and it looks so elegant, grandiose and inspiring for some ‘me’ time! There are not one, but two tea salons at the back of the store.
The first salon is inspired by French Interior Designer Madeleine Castaing, who created a style that embraced beauty and celebrated the whimsical. “Beauty in a room derives from a touch of mystery” Madeleine Castaing.
The second salon channels Frances most famous extravagant mistress Madame de Pompadour. Known for her luxurious obsession with porcelain, marble and cake! The salon will have 5 different kinds of marble forming a stunning mosaic opulent floor. The second salon has been designed to pay homage to Ladurée’s Paris store on the Champs-Elysées, which means anytime I feel like taking a quick escape to Paris, I don’t even need to leave Soho!
