Genuine Superette has just opened up it’s doors in Nolita. Opening April 15, the concept is inspired by California roadside diners/superettes along the coast and will rotate in guest chef dishes from the likes of Paul Liebrandt (who will do fish and chips on the opening menu).
The restaurant designs were created by Nolita based designers AvroKO. The restaurant offers guests a cool bi-level space with retro style menu boards, wooden stool seating and colorful dreamy large wall murals. Also there is adjustable dangling light fixtures that seamlessly transition between day and night. A subterranean level will launch later this spring.
The menu has definite Cali influences. According to Eater, big-name chefs, such as Michelin-starred Paul Liebrandt, will contribute to the regularly changing menu. Some menu items include baja style ahi tuna tacos, California kale salad, a fried green tomato sandwich and a selection of fresh pressed juices. Check out the full menu here.
