Uprise Art are really mixing up the stuffy old art world, encouraging us to enjoy art in our homes, to be supportive of artists and are really good at making art more accessible. This week they’ve launched a website called ‘The Shop’ which is specializing in art for $800 or less. I really admire this idea, why go to Ikea and buy a generic print for say $300 when you can have a real authentic artwork for yes a little more money, but much more genuine.
Here are my favs:
1) Image above ‘ Flew her away’ by Anne Harper . She explores the relationship between natural imagery and abstraction with her bright, organic paintings on canvas. The push and pull of color and form within Anne’s canvas creates an inviting tension and conversation. Learn more about Anne here.
2) Diana Delgado (below), New York-based painter Diana explores abstract paintings driven by the elements of process, such as color, gesture and pattern. Diana uses raw shapes and forms to explore themes ranging from fashion and architecture to whimsy and frivolity.

3) Zoe Pawlak , Wild child II. Zoe’s abstract painting pair bright popping colors with complementing neutrals. Her bold yet refined paintings instantly become the focal point of any space as these original, one-of-a-kind paintings abstract the landscape subject matter.
